The World Championship held in the capital of Croatia, Zagreb, has concluded.
Offsideplus.az reports that on the last day of the competition, medalists in Greco-Roman wrestling in 63, 67 and 87 kg were determined.
Hasrat Jafarov (67 kg), who reached the final of the World Championship for the second time, faced Iranian Olympic champion Said Esmaili in the decisive match. Our wrestler, who lost to his opponent by a minimal margin (1:2), once again won a silver medal at the World Championship. This was his 3rd (2 silver, 1 bronze) World Championship medal among adults.
Thus, the number of medals won by our Greco-Roman wrestlers at the World Championship has reached 4.
Let us recall that earlier Ulvu Ganizade (72 kg) won gold, and Eldeniz Azizli (55 kg) and Murad Ahmadiyev (97 kg) won bronze medals.
