FIFA referee Aliyar Aghayev has received another appointment.

Offsideplus.az reports, A. Aghayev will be the chief referee of the Croatia - Faroe Islands match to be held within the framework of the 2026 World Cup qualifying round.

He will be assisted by Zeynal Zeynalov and Akif Amireli. Elchin Masiyev will perform the function of the fourth official. Portuguese Thiago Martins will act as VAR, and his compatriot Bruno Esteves as AVAR.

The match will be held on November 14 at the stadium of the same name in the city of Rijeka.
