"Conditions have been established for the development of youth football".
According to Offsideplus.az, these words were expressed by Ramazan Samedov, advisor to the Secretary General of AFFA, during a press conference at the newly constructed Hovsan Sports Complex.
He shared his impressions regarding the U-15 World Championship and festival to be held in Baku:
"Two months ago, you would have witnessed a completely different scene here. It was almost a desert. Ten pitches have been constructed in accordance with FIFA standards. These were resolved in just 66 days. Thanks to the state institutions, they supported us from the very first days. Great work has been done for Azerbaijani football. The U-15 World Championship was a catalyst for these efforts. It was our desire to create conditions for the development of youth football. Now, conditions have been established for the development of youth football."
The AFFA official also spoke about FIFA President Gianni Infantino's visit to the complex:
"He stated that he had never seen such rapid completion of works in any country. The installation of stands in each stadium is on the agenda. Two stadiums will accommodate 100 spectators, while the others will hold 50 people to watch the matches."
Samedov emphasised that the pitch quality of the stadiums meets FIFA standards:
"Currently, FIFA representatives are also present in the area. This complex is intended for the development of youth football. It is a pitch that complies with FIFA standards. To put it in layman's terms, there is nothing better than this."
It should be noted that the U-15 World Championship and festival will take place from October 22 to 30 at the Hovsan Sports Complex. The opening and final matches of the tournament will be held at the Baku Crystal Hall.
