The Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA) has released a comprehensive statement regarding the recent discussions surrounding refereeing decisions.
Offsideplus.az, citing the federation's press service, reports that the governing body stated its activities are conducted in accordance with UEFA and FIFA standards, as well as the principles of transparency and fair play. It was emphasized that the ongoing reforms within the Referees Committee and the Refereeing Department are specifically designed to serve these objectives.
It was reminded that clubs have the right to officially request a review of disputed VAR episodes three times per season.
In response to the recent protests by Neftçi, AFFA has invited club officials to the federation to prevent the spread of speculative information. The Referees Committee expressed its readiness to objectively analyze all controversial moments presented by the club.
The federation urged all clubs to refrain from unilateral and emotional statements, calling for the resolution of issues through institutional dialogue and the preservation of the principles of mutual respect.
