According to The Telegraph, UEFA plans to hold the continental championship in 12 European countries as planned. It was stressed in the stands that the possible restrictions on the number of spectators did not frighten the organizers.
The transfer of EURO 2020 to one or two countries in order to minimize costs is not discussed.
Earlier it was reported that UEFA is considering 4 scenarios for the organization of EURO 2020. One option was to reduce the number of host cities to 10. In this case, the two cities would be reduced. Another scenario was planned for 5 host countries, with a two-country model as the third option.
Baku, St. Petersburg, London, Munich, Rome, Bucharest, Dublin, Copenhagen, Bilbao, Glasgow, Budapest and Amsterdam are to host EURO 2020, which has been postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. The games of the tournament will be held from June 11 to July 11.
