Tarlan Ahmadov recounted the incident:  "Vidadi Rzayev and another footballer from Ganja, whom I do not want to name, played in Terek. We took our salary and went to the station to board the Kislovodsk-Baku train. We put the money under the sports bag and put dirty clothes on it. Racketeering and robbery were widespread in Chechnya at the time. Two people approached us at the station. One in police and one in civilian clothes. They asked for our documents. They said, "We know we have to go to the police station without a football player." I knew the station was in the station area.

They took us out of the station and took us to a dark place, near the garages. Another civilian joined them. I asked, "Where are you taking us?" They said, "Don't raise your voice, give us the money, or your body will come out." "We don't have the money, you can check the bags," I said. We started begging them. On the one hand, our lives, on the other hand, the hard-earned money. One of the bandits returned, saying that there were three of them, but not one. The football player from Ganja had died. The racketeers did not find the money and left us. We had to return to the base because the train left. When we entered the room, we saw that our friend, who had just left us, was lying on his head with a blanket over his head. Can Vidadi be saved now? He says what he wants to say.
