An Azerbaijani FIFA referee has been appointed to an upcoming match involving an English club.

Offsideplus.az reports that Aliyar Aghayev will serve as the head referee for the UEFA Conference League round-of-16 second-leg match between AEK Larnaca (Cyprus) and Crystal Palace (England). He will be assisted by Zeynal Zeynalov and Akif Amirali, with Elchin Masiyev acting as the fourth official.

The VAR duties will be handled by Jeroen Manschot from the Netherlands, while Nijat Ismayilli will serve as the AVAR.

The match is scheduled to take place on March 19 at the AEK Arena in Larnakh. Notably, the first leg in England ended in a goalless draw.
