Today, AIFF sent a letter to UEFA, AIPS and AIPS European Presidents on behalf of Azerbaijani sports journalists regarding the press secretary of the Qarabag club Nurlan Ibrahimov.

We regret the news that the head of the press service of "Karabakh" Nurlan Ibrahimov was removed from football for life.
Azerbaijan, which has suffered from Armenian terror for many years, has made countless victims. Nevertheless, the will of the people has not been shaken, and the tradition of coexistence has strengthened inter-civilizational and inter-religious relations, preserved various national and cultural values and traditions of multiculturalism.
As a result of the investigation, the head of the press service of the Karabakh club Nurlan Ibrahimov shared on his Facebook page that civilians, including several innocent children, as well as a teenager football player Shahriyar Gurbanov It became clear that he had been brutally murdered, that he was stressed while watching these images on social media, and that he was obsessed with the moment. We do not consider it right for Nurlan Ibrahimov, who cannot restrain his feelings against cruelty and injustice, to use words on his Facebook page that contradict the position of our state and the principles of the club he represents against the nation of the aggressor country.
N.Ibrahimov's quick confession and deletion of what he shared on his Facebook page is also due to his deep understanding of his mistake and responsibility.
We think that Nurlan Ibrahimov's removal from football for life is a very severe punishment. Sport, which is a very effective means of uniting mankind around sublime goals, bringing people closer to each other and penetrating their feelings, has become an integral part of Nurlan Ibrahimov's life. He, like hundreds of thousands of football fans, wants to contribute to the development of this sport in the future. We appeal to you to reconsider the decision to punish Ibrahimov.
