Formula 1 team McLaren has signed a new contract with young driver Oscar Piastri.

Offsideplus.az reports that they have signed an "indefinite agreement" this time. The first agreement until 2026 has expired.

The 23-year-old Austrian athlete has been defending the honor of McLaren since 2023.

His first serious successes in Formula 1 were in 2024. First, the pilot won the Hungarian Grand Prix, then performed successfully in Azerbaijan.

Piastri was the fastest in the race held in Baku between September 19-21 last year.
