Azerbaijani national team footballer Elvin Jafarguliyev has been suspended from the camp.
This was reported to Offsideplus.az by the chief of AFFA's Press and Public Relations Department, Elnur Mammadli.
According to him, this was due to the footballer receiving a red card in yesterday's match against the Haitian national team: "Since the international friendly match with Haiti was held according to the FIFA calendar, the rules applied in official matches were applicable in this match. For this reason, Elvin Jafarguliyev cannot wear the jersey in the next friendly match. He was sent off from the national team's camp after yesterday's match."
It should be noted that E. Jafarguliyev was sent off the field in the 85th minute of the Azerbaijan - Haiti match (0:3). The defender got into an argument with the Turkish head referee of the match and received a yellow card. For this, Elvin, who ironically applauded the referee, immediately saw a second "yellow" in front of him and was sent to the locker room with an automatic red card.
Our team will play its next match against Belarus on March 25 at 9:45 PM.
