Azerbaijani fighter Tahir Abdullayev is set to compete in the upcoming UFC event in Baku.

Offsideplus.az reports that the Baku City Circuit Operations Company released a statement regarding the matter.

Abdullayev has signed a contract with the UFC and will face Brazil's Jeferson Nascimento in a welterweight bout.

As a reminder, the upcoming UFC Fight Night is scheduled to take place on June 27 at the National Gymnastics Arena. In the main event of the night, lightweight Rafael Fiziev will square off against Mexico's Manuel Torres.
