Tofiq Musayev (22-6 MMA, 0-1 UFC) has a new opponent for the upcoming March 28 event at the Climate Pledge Arena.

Offsideplus.az reports that following Samuel Sanches' withdrawal from UFC Fight Night 271, Musayev is now expected to face Ignacio Bahamondes (17-6 MMA, 6-3 UFC) in a lightweight contest. While the promotion has yet to make an official announcement, sources indicate both fighters have agreed to the matchup.

Musayev, a former RIZIN lightweight tournament champion, is looking to rebound from a difficult UFC debut last June, where he suffered a first-round submission loss to Myktybek Orolbai in Azerbaijan.

Bahamondes, 28, is also seeking a comeback. His recent unanimous decision loss to Rafael Fiziev ended a dominant three-fight finishing streak. This booking represents a significant step up in name recognition for Musayev as he searches for his first Octagon victory.
