Azerbaijani MMA fighter Mahammadali Nurushov made these remarks in a statement to Offsideplus.az.

He spoke about his victory over Uzbekistan’s phenomenal fighter, Shahzod Uzoqov, during the "OCTAGON 84" tournament:

“May God bless those who mocked me. If it weren't for them, perhaps I wouldn't have entered the fight with such motivation. Thank God, I secured the win. My next goal is to win the upcoming fight and raise our flag once again. I love the Azerbaijani people.”

It should be noted that footage of Shahzod Uzoqov trying to intimidate Mahammadali Nurushov by shouting at him before the fight had previously gone viral on social media.
