Kepaz midfielder Rahman Hajiyev has given an interview to the club's Media and Marketing Department. The 33-year-old experienced footballer shared his thoughts on the start of the championship, the situation at the Ganja club, and the upcoming fixture against Gabala in the Misli Premier League.

Hajiyev particularly emphasised the support from fans: "The last time I experienced such a fantastic atmosphere in the stadium was during the derbies when I played for Neftchi. We won our first match at our home ground. However, it takes time for victories to become consistent. The team has been restructured, and it takes time to adapt to our head coach's unique style."

Speaking about his delayed debut due to injury, Rahman also commented on the recent 1-4 defeat to Shamakhi: "Our game did not go well; we conceded goals due to our own mistakes. We cannot accept such a defeat to Shamakhi. We need to prepare more seriously for the matches and show character."

The experienced player also admitted that he was on the verge of retiring from football last season: "Honestly, I wanted to end my career last year, but my friends did not allow me to. I love football very much, but sometimes it can push you away. At that time, I received an invitation from Kepaz, and they provided me with great support. It is a great pleasure for me to defend the honour of this club."

Regarding the match against Gabala on September 12, Hajiyev stated that they will only take to the field for victory: "It affects us badly when the fans leave the stadium disappointed. We want to hold our heads high in front of our ancestors. We will not repeat the mistakes we made in the match against Gabala and will fight for the three points."
