The AFFA Disciplinary Committee has handed Shamakhi player Diogo Balau a two-match ban.

According to Offsideplus.az, the midfielder received a straight red card for a serious foul during the Misli Premier League Round 26 match between Zira and Shamakhi. Consequently, the regional club has also been fined 1,000 AZN.

In another fixture of the round, Araz-Nakhchivan was fined 700 AZN after four of its players received yellow cards during their match against Sabah.

Following the game, Araz-Nakhchivan head coach Andrey Demchenko was sent off for protesting a refereeing decision. The specialist has been suspended for one match, and the club incurred an additional fine of 2,500 AZN.
