The AFFA Disciplinary Committee has fined Turan Tovuz following statements made by the club's Chairman of the Board, Ehtiram Guliyev.
According to Offsideplus.az, the decision was reached during the committee's latest meeting. The Western club was fined 5,000 AZN due to fans mass-insulting the referees during the first leg of the Azerbaijan Cup semifinals between Turan Tovuz and Zira.
Additionally, the club received a further 15,000 AZN fine for post-match comments by Chairman Ehtiram Guliyev that were deemed to have deliberately undermined and disparaged the reputation and credibility of AFFA, its bodies, and member organizations.
In the same match, Zira incurred a 700 AZN fine after four of their players were cautioned with yellow cards.
