Tahir Gozal, the president of Qarabag, has expressed his gratitude to Neftchi.

According to Offsideplus.az, he made this statement in an interview with the club's press service.

Tahir Gozal thanked Neftchi for agreeing to postpone the Misli Premier League Round 21 match, taking into account that there is only a 6-day gap between the playoff matches of the Agdam representative against Newcastle and that the team will have a long trip to England during this period:

"I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the management and the Board of Neftchi for the understanding and constructive position shown regarding the postponement of the game. With this decision, Neftchi once again demonstrated its commitment to its football traditions, nobility, and the general interests of Azerbaijani football. This step proved that no matter how principled the competition is, the national spirit, mutual respect, and unity always remain a priority.

I believe that such approaches serve the development of football in the country and further strengthen healthy relations between clubs. At the same time, I would like to thank the Professional Football League for approaching our request in an efficient and objective manner, in accordance with the regulations. I wish Neftchi success in its future endeavors."

It should be noted that the match between Neftchi and Qarabag, which was scheduled for February 21 in the 21st round of the Premier League, has been postponed. Based on the official request of Qarabag to the Professional Football League and the official response of Neftchi with consent, the match will be held on another date.
