"I want to leave a lasting legacy in coaching, just like I did during my football career."
These were the words of goalkeeper coach Hüseyn Məhəmmədov in an exclusive statement to Offsideplus.az.
The specialist, who recently parted ways with Karvan-Yevlakh, commented on the decision: "As you know, there was a change in the head coaching position. The new head coach, Füzuli müəllim (Mammadov), arrived with his own staff. I take this as a normal part of football; every coach has their own team. Therefore, I left of my own accord. To be clear, no one forced me out of the club."
When asked about his future plans, Məhəmmədov replied: "From now on, I will strive to work at higher-level clubs. There are no offers yet, but I hope there will be soon. As you know, the goalkeeper coach is a vital position for any team, and I believe every club would want to work with an experienced professional."
It should be noted that the Yevlakh representative also parted ways with assistant coach Zaur Haciyev today, alongside Huseyn Mahammadov.
