FIDE has announced the first rating list of 2026.

Offsideplus.az reports that among Azerbaijani chess players, the best result belongs to Shakhriyar Mamedyarov.

He is ranked 19th with 2730 points.

Teimour Radjabov (2692) is 35th, and Rauf Mammadov (2645) is 76th.

Aydin Suleymanli is outside the top 100. He is ranked 101st with 2628 points.

The list is topped by Magnus Carlsen (2840).

Among Azerbaijani female chess players, Ulviyya Fatalieva (2434) is 27th, Gunay Mammadzada (2390) 53rd, Govhar Beydullayeva (2364) 77th, and Khanim Balajayeva (2351) 90th.

Here, China’s Hou Yifan (2613) is the leader.
