The UzChess Cup traditional international chess tournament, held in Uzbekistan, is drawing to a close.

Offsideplus.az reports that the winner of the Challenge section has been decided ahead of the final round.

Azerbaijani champion Mahammad Muradli, who achieved a perfect score by collecting maximum points in the first seven rounds, has secured first place. With 7 points under his belt, Muradli will face Uzbek grandmaster Jakhongir Vakhidov in the final round tomorrow.

Regardless of tomorrow's outcome, Muradli is guaranteed to finish the tournament at the top of the standings.
