Azerbaijan's U-15 team has played its final match at the FIFA World Cup and festival.

According to Offsideplus.az, the squad, managed by head coach Famil Khalilov, faced Afghanistan in a match for 83rd place. The match, held at the Hovsan Sports Complex, ended in a 3-3 draw after regular time. In the penalty shootout, the opponents were more accurate, winning 3-2.

It is worth noting that our team finished the group stage in third place with 9 points, competing in Division C. They lost to Chile (1-3) and Vietnam (2-4), but secured victories against Gibraltar (5-1) and Mozambique (4-1). The team concluded the tournament with a defeat to Afghanistan in their final match.

Additionally, today marks the final day of the FIFA U-15 World Cup. The final matches will take place at the Baku Crystal Hall.
