Eight young chess players from Azerbaijan will represent the country at the upcoming World Youth Chess Championship in Montesilvano, Italy.
Offsideplus.az reports that the Azerbaijan Chess Federation has released information regarding the lineup.
Led by coach Farid Abbasov, the national team will compete with the following squad:
Khagan Ahmad, Tunar Davudov, Farid Orujov, Pasham Alizade, Shamsi Garakhanov, Narmin Abdinova, Lala Huseynova, and Zahra Allahverdi.
The prestigious tournament will feature participants from 86 countries competing across the under-14, under-16, and under-18 age categories. The first-round matches are scheduled to begin tomorrow.
The World Championship in Montesilvano will conclude on June 26.
