Azerbaijan women’s national team defender Nigar Mirzaliyeva continues to shine in Russia. The 23-year-old center-back played a key role in Zenit’s 2-0 win over Rubin in the 8th round of the Russian Women’s League.

Starting in the lineup, Nigar delivered a solid performance that helped her team secure the victory. Her efforts didn’t go unnoticed — she was included in the Team of the Week for Round 8.
