The Disciplinary Committee of the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA) has handed out multiple sanctions following incidents during the Matchday 24 fixture between Shefa and Shahdag Qusar in the Azerbaijan Second Division, played on May 4. The match ended in a goalless draw (0–0) but was marred by several negative incidents.
According to Offsideplus.az, both clubs have been fined for various disciplinary breaches:
Shefa
- 70 AZN – for four players receiving yellow cards
- 80 AZN – for unauthorized individuals entering the pitch after the end of the first and second halves
- 150 AZN – for home supporters using pyrotechnic devices in the stands
Shahdag Qusar
- 80 AZN – for away fans throwing foreign objects onto the pitch
- 150 AZN – for the use of pyrotechnics by visiting supporters
Additionally, Shahdag Qusar has been ordered to compensate for damages caused by their fans to the ASK Arena.
