The Azerbaijan junior national judo team has made a successful start at the European Cup held in Graz, Austria.
Offsideplus.az reports that on the opening day of the competition, Mahammad Musayev (66 kg) secured a gold medal for our team, completing all his matches with victories.
On his way to the final, he defeated opponents from Germany, Croatia, Belgium, and Hungary.
In the decisive match, Musayev faced Marko Jorgic of Serbia, defeating his opponent by ippon to claim the championship title.
With this single gold medal, the Azerbaijani team leads the medal standings among the boys and ranks fifth in the overall standings.
