The European Karate Championships are currently underway in Frankfurt, Germany.
Offsideplus.az reports that four Azerbaijani athletes competed on the second day of the tournament: Aslan Dostuyev (60 kg), Farid Hajizade (67 kg), Fatima Mammadova (50 kg), and Madina Sadygova (55 kg).
Among them, Sadygova successfully advanced to the final.
It is worth noting that seven athletes from Azerbaijan competed on the first day of the tournament. Two of them, Gulay Orujova (61 kg) and Irina Zaretska (68 kg), will fight for the bronze medal on May 23.
The European Championships will run until May 24.
