The draw ceremony for the Judo Grand Slam has taken place in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan.
Offsideplus.az reports that the opening opponents for the Azerbaijani representatives have been determined following the draw. Azerbaijan will be represented by 11 judokas (6 men, 5 women) across 7 weight categories in this World Judo Tour event. A total of 295 athletes from 36 countries will compete in the tournament.
The Astana Grand Slam will be held from May 8 to 10. On the first day of competition, the preliminary rounds will start at 10:00, followed by the final block at 16:00.
