The draw ceremony for the Cadet European Judo Cup was held in Ganja.

Offsideplus.az reports that officials from the European Judo Union (EJU) and the Azerbaijan Judo Federation (AJF) attended the event.

Kamran Talibov, AJF Deputy General Secretary and Sports Director, expressed his gratitude to the EJU, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and the Ganja City Executive Power for their cooperation and support in organizing the tournament. EJU Sports Commissioner Albert Gmeiner and Refereeing Commissioner Frank Oko also highlighted the tournament's significance for young judokas, noting that 15 international and local referees will officiate the matches.

A total of 269 judokas (180 boys and 89 girls) from 10 countries will compete in 16 weight categories. Azerbaijan will be represented by 127 athletes (92 boys, 35 girls). Along with the hosts, judokas from Belarus, Bulgaria, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Portugal, Tajikistan, Turkey, and the USA will also participate.

The European Cup will take place on April 4-5.
