"The career of Azerbaijani international Zamiq Aliyev is under threat.

According to Offsideplus.az, the defender, who spent the last two seasons with Albanian side Egnatia, is stuck in Azerbaijan after returning home for the off-season.

The State Service for Mobilisation and Conscription (SHXÇDX) has placed a travel ban on the player. On June 8, Aliyev was turned back at the airport while trying to join his club’s summer camp. The young defender spoke to our website about the crisis:

"SHXÇDX is completely ignoring my situation. They insist I must enlist. The ban stays, and I can't rejoin my team. I've been in Albania for two years, won three trophies, and played in the Champions and Conference Leagues. They refuse to accept official letters from either AFFA or the Ministry. I had no idea this would happen. I’ve already been fined, and my contract is about to be terminated."
