The fighters of the main card appeared before journalists at a press conference before the UFC Fight Night to be held in Baku on June 21.

Offsideplus.az reports that our athlete Tofig Musayev, who will debut in the UFC, shared his thoughts on the fight and answered questions.

“UFC is the dream of every athlete. It is another level. Thank God, this was my fate, I have fought in many organizations. I have prepared well for the competition. Everything is going according to plan. I have analyzed the opponent, I hope the victory is with us”.

He commented on his UFC debut at the age of 35: “This age is just a number for me. For those who think about their age, there is no need to come to the UFC”.

Tofig Musayev assessed his opponent, Kyrgyz fighter Miktybek Orolbay: "He is a worthy opponent for me, I have never had the intention of fighting a weak opponent. In sports, one wins, one loses. The opponent takes us seriously and should take us seriously. I think we are worthy opponents for each other. Each fighter has his own plan, based on which we will try to move forward. We will finish the fight the way we started it."

T. Musayev believes that the number of young Azerbaijani fighters in the UFC will increase after his arrival:

"I think that this will follow. And it should. Many athletes are eager to participate."

Tofig also responded to the Kyrgyz press's claims that he did not want to participate in the fight with Orolbay:

"There has never been a time in my career when I would refuse to fight anyone. I would not do this to myself. At that time, the fight was not official, so the Kyrgyz shared it themselves. After the UFC confirms it, no matter which fighter it is, be it Orolbay or another, I will not refuse. No one is superior to the other."
