Azerbaijan national team member Zamiq Aliyev's career is under threat.
According to Offsideplus.az, the defender, who has been representing Albanian club Egnatia for two seasons, is currently unable to leave Azerbaijan despite returning home after the season ended.
This is due to a ban on his exit imposed by the State Service for Mobilisation and Conscription. On June 8, Aliyev attempted to join his team for their summer training camp but was turned back at the airport. The young footballer provided a statement to our website regarding his situation:
"The State Service for Mobilisation and Conscription is not considering my case at all. They say I must go to the army. The ban is not being lifted, and I cannot join the club. I have been in the Albanian club for two years and have won three cups. I have played in the Champions League and Conference League. Neither the AFFA nor the ministry's letters are being accepted. They say I must go to the army. I was not aware of such a problem before. I have already been fined, and my contract will be terminated."
