The International Chess Federation (FIDE) has released its updated world ranking list for July.
Offsideplus.az reports that Shahriyar Mammadyarov holds the highest position among Azerbaijani male chess players, ranking 23rd in the world with a rating of 2723. Among other national players, Teimour Radjabov (2689) sits at 38th, Aydin Suleymanli (2657) at 57th, Mahammad Muradli (2642) at 78th, and Rauf Mamedov (2639) at 84th.
As always, Magnus Carlsen of Norway leads the open rankings with a rating of 2823.
In the women's rankings, Azerbaijani chess player Ulviyya Fataliyeva (2440) has climbed to the 24th spot. Other national players featured in the Top 100 include Govhar Beydullayeva (2375) at 64th, Khanim Balajayeva (2356) at 82nd, and Gunay Mammadzada (2350) at 86th.
Hou Yifan of China continues to lead the women's world rankings with a rating of 2596.
