Newcastle United’s Brazilian midfielder, Bruno Guimarães, has sustained an injury ahead of their Champions League encounter against Qarabag.

According to Offsideplus.az, citing reports from the British media, the Brazilian playmaker is expected to be out of action for two months.

Guimarães has been one of Newcastle's most influential players this season, contributing 9 goals and 7 assists in 35 appearances.

This comes as a significant blow to the English side before their trip to Azerbaijan.

The first leg between Qarabag and Newcastle is scheduled to take place in Baku on February 18.
