“Qarabağ” played their next Champions League match today.

According to Offsideplus.az, although the opponent is far from its glory days, it is still the historically renowned club “Ajax”.

A victory in this match would have been a major step for the Aghdam side in their bid to reach the next stage.

Apart from Kady and Abbas Huseynov, Qurban Qurbanov had no other absentees in his squad.

“Ajax” had lost all of their first five matches.
