Tahir Bakhshiyev, the head coach of the Azerbaijan national basketball team, currently holding a training camp, spoke to journalists.
Offsideplus.az reports that ahead of the exhibition match against Belarus, the specialist shared his thoughts on the preparation:
"We have tough matches ahead against Luxembourg and Ireland. We held a one-week training camp in Ganja, where we managed to achieve most of what we wanted. The match against Belarus will reveal a lot. This is, of course, a positive thing. They are not a weak opponent; they have players competing in Europe. It will be a highly beneficial game for us. They are a physically strong and fast team. We will try to both achieve a good result and give playing time to our players. Advancing from the group will be a difficult challenge. We need to win both games, and we will do our best to achieve that."
It is worth noting that the friendly matches against the Belarus national team will take place on June 20 and 22 at 19:00.
