Notably, Sabah had lost 58-88 to Igokea in their opening match, making this comeback crucial for their standing.

According to the current regulations, only the group winners will advance to the semifinals. Teams finishing in second place will compete for 5th-8th positions, while those in last place will play for 9th-12th places.
