The preliminary squad of the Azerbaijan women's national volleyball team for the European Championship has been announced.

Offsideplus.az reports that the head coach of the team, Faik Garayev, has included 16 volleyball players in the roster:

Setters: Kristina Besman (Omichka, Russia), Raziya Aliyeva (DH Volley)

Attackers/Liberos: Natalya Solovyova (Murov Az Terminal), Polina Rahimova (GS Panionios, Greece), Yelizaveta Ruban (Leningradka, Russia), Margarita Stepanenko (UNEC), Narmina Musayeva (Ganja), Ulkar Karimova (Turan), Ilhama Azimova (Azerrail), Kseniya Pavlenko (National Aviation Academy), Yuliya Karimova (Turan), Bayaz Guluyeva (DH Volley), Jeyran Imanova (DH Volley)

Middle Blockers: Ayshan Abdulazimova (Turan), Aynur Imanova (DH Volley), Mariya Kirilyuk (Yenisey, Russia)

It is worth noting that Azerbaijan will host the matches of Group C, which features Azerbaijan, Portugal, Netherlands, Belgium, Romania, and Spain. The matches in Baku will take place on August 21-28 at the National Gymnastics Arena.
