After the match between Sumqayit and Lankaran, Sumqayit’s head coach Vadim Kuramshın spoke to the club’s press service about the game.
Offsideplus.az reports that the coach praised his players’ determination and fighting spirit throughout the match:
"I want to express my gratitude to my entire team. The boys fought until the very end. Even though we were trailing by a large point difference at times, we managed to turn the result in our favor. Honestly, I don’t want to say much. This victory is a great gift for our team and for the city of Sumqayıt ahead of the New Year celebrations."
Kuramshın also highlighted the dedication of the playmaker Keon Klerqot, who played despite being injured:
"Our playmaker Keon Klerqot, who has accumulated 44 points, played while injured today. I even thought we wouldn’t be able to give him a chance in this game. He had missed three days of training due to his injury."
The match, which showcased Sumqayot’s resilience, will be remembered as an important and memorable victory for the team.
