From August 3 to 8, Baku hosted the 10th anniversary of the United World Wrestling (UWW) camp titled More Than Medals.

According to Offsideplus.az, the event was noted for setting a record, as stated in UWW's official communication. A total of 95 participants, including 74 athletes and 21 coaches from 21 countries, took part in the anniversary camp, marking the highest attendance in the project's history.

Organised by UWW's Development Department and initiated by UWW President Nenad Lalovic, the camp included technical and physical training sessions, as well as educational workshops on anti-doping, climate change, and environmental awareness, alongside cultural and entertainment programmes.

During the event, Olympic champions Namiq Abdullayev and Farid Mansurov shared their experiences with young athletes. Rafiq Huseynov, the head coach of Azerbaijan's U17 Greco-Roman wrestling national team, along with Deqa Niamkey, the director of UWW's Development Department, and representatives from Tunisia, Mexico, Algeria, and Argentina expressed their gratitude to the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation for the high-level organisation, warm hospitality, and its role in the development of young athletes.

The anniversary event in Baku once again showcased Azerbaijan's capacity to host significant projects within the international wrestling community.
