The Hasan Gemici and Gazanfer Bilge Wrestling Memorial Tournament is set to kick off tomorrow in Kocaeli, Turkiye.

According to Offsideplus.az, 23 members of the Azerbaijani Greco-Roman and freestyle national wrestling teams will compete in the tournament, which runs through August 2.

Under the leadership of coaches Rovshan Bayramov, Rasoul Jazini, and Sabah Shariati, the Greco-Roman team features Nihad Guluzada, Rashad Mammadov (both 60 kg), Nihat Mammadli, Ziya Babashov (both 63 kg), Khalid Hasanov (72 kg), Ruslan Nurullayev, Davud Mammadov (both 77 kg), Lachin Valiyev, Tuncay Vazirzade (both 87 kg), Mahammad Ahmadiyev (97 kg), as well as Beka Kandelaki and Sarkhan Mammadov (both 130 kg).

Meanwhile, the freestyle squad will strive for success under the guidance of coaches Arif Abdullayev and Taymuraz Kokoyev. The roster includes Jeyhun Allahverdiyev (61 kg), Musa Agayev, Ruslan Abdullayev (both 65 kg), Ramik Heybatov (70 kg), Aganazar Novruzov (74 kg), Sabuhi Amiraslanov (86 kg), Anar Jafarli, Tabriz Bayramov (both 92 kg), Zafar Aliyev (97 kg), Mukhamad Gantemirov, and Khetaq Karsanov (both 125 kg).

United World Wrestling (UWW) has entrusted the overall management of the tournament to Asif Shiraliyev, Chairman of the Technical and Referee Committee of the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation and Category I-S referee. Having earned the trust of the governing body, Shiraliyev will serve as the tournament director representing UWW.

Additionally, Category III referees Elkhan Hamidzada, Samir Hajiyev, and Gadim Gurbanov will officiate at the memorial.
