The Azerbaijani Greco-Roman wrestling national team has defended its title and become European champions once again, securing 133 points with 2 gold and 3 bronze medals at the European Championships held in Tirana, Albania.

Offsideplus.az reports that Turkey (121 points) finished second, while Georgia (118 points) took third place.

In the national team, Hasrat Jafarov (67 kg) and Gurban Gurbanov (82 kg) won gold medals, while Rashad Mammadov (55 kg), Nihat Mammadli (60 kg), and Islam Abbasov (87 kg) claimed bronze medals.

The European Championships will conclude on April 26.
