ashad Mammadov (55 kg), who secured a bronze medal in Greco-Roman wrestling at the European Championships in Tirana, Albania, has reflected on his performance.

Offsideplus.az reports that the medalist expressed his satisfaction at not returning home empty-handed, despite his primary goal being the title:

“Two years ago, I won a silver medal at the European Championships. This year, my goal was gold. While it wasn't meant to be, I’m glad we aren't returning home without a medal. We have many competitions ahead of us. I believe I will face Emin Sefershayev again, and I hope this defeat won't be repeated. Having Eldaniz Azizli here was a huge motivation for me; he gave me invaluable advice for all my matches.”

The continental championships will conclude on April 26.
