A new head coach has been appointed for the Azerbaijan Greco-Roman wrestling national team following the departure of Aleksandr Tarakanov.
Offsideplus.az reports that Mohammad Bana will henceforth lead our national team in the classical style.
Nuraddin Rajabov has been appointed as the senior coach of the national team. The coaching staff also includes Rovshan Bayramov, Sabah Shariati, Behrouz Hazratipour, and Rasoul Jazini Dorcheh.
It should be noted that under the leadership of M. Bana, the Iranian national team won 3 gold medals at the 2012 London Olympics. At Tokyo 2020, they secured 1 gold and 1 bronze medal. In 2011, he was named the world's best coach by UWW (United World Wrestling).
He was also awarded the Order of Courage in Iran.
