Turan Bayramov, the newly crowned Azerbaijani national champion in the 74 kg weight category, spoke to Offsideplus.az about his recent success.

Sharing his impressions of the tournament, he said:

"In my opinion, this was the most professionally organized championship in recent years. The atmosphere was fantastic. I had very difficult matches as the competition was at an exceptionally high level. The fact that most participants were young athletes made the rivalry even more intense. Three out of my four bouts were very tough. I congratulate my opponents as well; they gave their absolute best."

Bayramov also emphasized his future ambitions:

"My biggest goal is to become both a World and European champion."

The Azerbaijani Wrestling Championship is set to conclude on January 11.
