An international Greco-Roman wrestling tournament was held in Novosibirsk, Russia.

Offsideplus.az reports that more than 200 athletes from 10 countries participated in the competition organized in memory of the Hero of the USSR Alexander Aksyonov.

Two of the national members of Azerbaijan who participated in the memorial under the leadership of coaches Sabah Shariati and Zohrab Abbasov ascended to the podium. Rashad Mammadov (55 kg) defeated all his rivals and became the champion. Mahammad Ahmadiyev (97 kg) won the bronze medal.

It should be noted that the first-class referee Habib Nurulu maintained justice in the tournament.
