MLS side Columbus Crew, featuring Azerbaijan national team player Nariman Akhundzade, has parted ways with head coach Henrik Rydström.

According to Offsideplus.az, the front office decided to terminate the Swedish manager's contract with immediate effect. Laurent Courtois has been named interim head coach to lead the team until a permanent replacement is found.

The decision comes amid a difficult stretch of form for the Crew. Columbus currently sits in 13th place out of 15 teams in the Eastern Conference, having managed only 13 points so far this season.
