"Our national team went through a difficult test and put up a worthy fight. We consider this a year of correct identification. I would like to thank Ayxan Abbasov for stepping in as coach during a challenging time and for changing the playing style. Winning the 'FIFA Series' tournament is an indicator of discipline. I congratulate our national team on this victory and believe they will soon make the fans happy. The performance of our women's national team was also successful; I congratulate them as well. The number of teams was increased to 12, and the foreigner limit was abolished. This contributed to raising the overall level. Among our clubs, the achievements of Qarabag should be specifically highlighted. They fought worthily against giant clubs. I thank Qarabag and Gurban Gurbanov for giving us these emotions.

The Men's U-20 World Cup was entrusted to Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan. This is an indicator of the attention and care given to sports in both Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan. The performances of Azerbaijani referees on international stages were also successful. We acknowledge that we must make many changes and take further measures in this area. We will continue our activities in this direction.
