A delegation from Neftchi Sports Club has visited Barcelona, Spain, at the official invitation of the Johan Cruyff Institute.

According to Offsideplus.az, citing Neftchi SC’s press service, the delegation included Faraj Aliyev, Advisor to the Chairman of the Board, and Emil Karimov, Head of the Department of International Relations and Communications.

During the visit, the club representatives took part in the Cruyff Networking event organized by the institute. They also held bilateral meetings with key figures such as Albert Romans, General Director of the institute; Albert Capellas, Executive Director of the Cruyff Football Platform and a renowned expert who has worked with several top European clubs, including FC Barcelona; and Marc Serra, co-owner of CF Badalona SAD and a lecturer at the institute, among other officials.

The discussions focused on potential directions for collaboration and opportunities for joint activities.

As part of the visit, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Neftchi and the Johan Cruyff Institute.

The agreement aims to strengthen international cooperation, support the professional development of athletes, coaches, and administrative staff, facilitate knowledge exchange in sports research, and encourage the organization of joint sporting events, seminars, conferences, as well as collaborative initiatives in the social and media fields.
