The Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA) has signed a sponsorship agreement with Liv Bona Dea Hospital.

According to Offsideplus.az, under the agreement, the private medical institution will be the title sponsor of the Women's Super League.

In the 2026/2027 and 2027/2028 seasons, the championship will be held under the name "Liv Bona Dea Women's Super League."

In this new season, which kicks off today, not only will the name and format of the championship change, but the number of participating teams will also increase to 12.

This partnership will contribute to the development of women's football in Azerbaijan, promote the championship to a wider audience, encourage young girls to engage in sports, and enhance commercial interest.
