AFFA has found another opponent for the Azerbaijan national team.

Offsideplus.az reports with reference to the organization's official website that our team will test its strength in a friendly match with Haiti.

The game will be held in Sumgait on March 22 this year. The start time of the match has not yet been announced.

This will be the first meeting in history between the teams of Azerbaijan and Haiti. The distance of 11,300 km between our countries is considered one of the main factors determining the absence of our football relations.

Haiti is located on the North American continent, on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean. It is bordered by land borders with Dominican Republic and by the Caribbean Sea with Cuba.

The football team of this exotic country is ranked 86th in the FIFA ranking. For comparison, let's note that our national team ranks 117th.

Let's add that Haiti has become the first opponent of our national team in 2025. Fernando Santos' men will then test their strength in friendlies against Belarus (March 25), Latvia (June 7) and Hungary (June 10).
